Q1 - What does the HCM4 do ? A1 - The HCM4 calculates the energy used in hot and chilled water systems by measuring the difference between temperatures in flow and return pipes Q2 - Why is the HCM4 so unique ? A2 - Its the only Heat Calculating Meter that can offer the customer a Monetary Resettable Read Out, Strap On / Non Instrusive DHAS temperatures sensors Q3 - What is a monetary read out ? A3 - The HCM4 can display either kWh's (standard read out) or monetary value is the actual money that is owed by the consumer, and displayed in a user friendly national currency mode. At the end of a billing period the display is zeroed by a hand held reader or remote signal, making Invoicing easier and clearer for all parties. This is a unique feature only available via the HCM4 system Q4 - ARRR !! What happens to the monetary readout in English Pounds if the UK goes in the Euro A4 - The HCM4 can be programmed by selection for English Pounds,Euro's or any Dollar Currency, so it a case of just altering the settings Q5 - What are DHAS sensors ? A5 - Temperature Sensor accuracy is really important, because it determines the billing and system intregrity If the sensors are not accurate the billing in return is not accurate. The HCM4 uses a unique and patented system called DHAS (Digital High Accuracy Sensors) The accuracy is so good the high precision versions the accuracy is in the region of 0.02%. The DHAS system takes a temperature reading every half second. This is a unique feature only available via the HCM4 system Q6 - I ve fitted Temperature sensors in the past before and they are a nightmare if you wire them incorrectly,or cut the length or want sensors over 10 metres long ? A6 - Thats true standard sensors can be awkward to install. The HCM4 uses the unique DHAS sensors which are digital and have two way communication between the calculator module and the sensor head. This means the micro processors intelligence finds each sensor and knows exactly if its connected to a flow or return pipe. The DHAS can be cut to different lengths to suit without damaging accuracy and the can transmit up to 10 metres. (standard version and 200 metres LD version) LD Version - This is a unique feature only available via the HCM4 system Q7 - In the past we have used Heat Calculating Meters that are battery powered, do you have a battery powered version? A7 - No ... we know from historical statistics,of other manufacturers that Battery Powered Versions, create a quality issue, 90% of all faults are related to the battery. Q7 - How do I know the system is of good quality ? A7 - The HCM4 is built to the International ISOEN standard 1434 and the company has ISO 9000 accreditation ISO 9000 Certificate Q8 - What guarantee is offered with the system A8 - All our products are guaranteed for a period of 12 months, against product fault on a return to base basis Q9 - I need a pulse output on my HCM4 A9 - No problem all HCM4's have a pulsed output as standard for further informationPulse Output Data Q10 - Are there other options A10 - Yes -- 4 to 20 mAmp versions see Products List Q11 - What security is available A11 - The HCM4 case is security sealed, with fine lashed seal wire and security seals. Plus unique Alarm alarm terminals for Building management System Cat Terminal This is a unique feature only available via the HCM4 system Q12 - Is the HCM4 expensive A12 - No the HCM4 is without question recognised as the best value product in the market place even with its unique features of monetary read out and DHAS sensors. |
